Colouring contest for kindy pupils

FORTY children took part in a colouring contest in conjunction with the Jalan C. Y. Choy Rukun Tetangga’s 32nd anniversary celebration.
The children, aged between five and six years, were pupils of a kindergarten managed by the RT which is located at Gat Lebuh Noordin.
The first three winners – Koay Mei Qi, Low Keat Yi, and Winnie Lim Wei Yee, all six years old – received toys and trophies.
Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Lee Hack Teik, who launched the competition, said the RT, which was established in 1975, was among the first RTs in the state.
He said the colouring contest was one of the many events organised by the RT to celebrate its anniversary.
“It was heart warming to see the children interact with each other regardless of racial, religious and cultural backgrounds,” he said.
RT chairman K Muniandy said the kindergarten conducted its classes in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
