暫鋪沙石充土橋尾組屋停車位

■ 李學德、伍瑞堯、楊榮民、梁炳華籲請當局儘快落實停車位，讓居民過個好年。

（檳城31日訊）彭加蘭哥打區州議員准拿督李學德與土橋尾組屋居協主席伍瑞堯促請當局，儘快在紅燈角前木屋區範圍，暫時鋪上沙石充當土橋尾組屋停車位元，以獲取工程繼續進行、居民同時間也擁有停車位的雙贏局面，也讓大家在農曆新年期間過個好年！

日落洞大道工程緩慢 料3月才完工
伍瑞堯在記者會上指出，他接獲很多居民有關停車位和通道出入問題的投訴，當局曾一度承諾日落洞大道第二階段的工程會趕在年杪之際完工，然而整個工程的進度仍然非常緩慢，預料會拖到明年3月才會完工。他表示，組屋共有2000個居民，384個單位，加上外來的車輛，組屋週邊及內部的空地範圍可容納近100輛的車子，惟現在工程已經擴展至此，並將有關地點鋪上沙石並以障礙物將之圍住，導致居民們須把車子停放在擁有雙黃線的紅燈角路旁，更因此遭警方開罰單。
他續說，問題不僅如此，工友在施工的時候，經常隨意更改出入口，不僅引起諸多的不便，曾經一度更因為挖到組屋地下水管，導致組屋出現水供問題。另外，加寬的大道與組屋的距離僅有10尺，引起了居民的不安。“我們迫切的希望當局能與組屋居民配合，儘快將木屋區的地段鋪上沙石暫時充當停車位，一旦擁有足夠的停車空間，隨便停放在施工處的車子將不再阻撓有關地段的施工進度。”

當局沒認真考慮住戶問題
李學德指出，其實整體的工程計畫，明顯可以看出當局沒有認真考慮到組屋住戶將面對的種種問題。他表示，早在一年前他已經向市政局、公共工程局和怡保工程公司提出前木屋區的範圍充當居民的停車位，雖然未獲得正式批准的書信，但是有關當局已經在口頭上答應此事。
“農曆新年在即，屆時將有更多的車子駛入，這將加劇有關問題，希望新的停車地點可以儘快落實，畢竟約1萬尺的面積可容納40至50輛轎車的新地點，不失為一個停車的良好地點，如果成為永久性的停車位有望惠及所有的住戶。”



Need for more parking space
THE construction of Phase Two of the Jelutong Expressway (JE) in Weld Quay, Penang, is creating parking problems, albeit temporary, for residents of Noordin Street Ghaut flats.
Their residents' association chairman Ng Swee Nyeoh said many people had complained to him that they had no place to park as the previous parking site had been torn down to make way for the project.

“Residents have been getting summonses for parking haphazardly due to this,” he told a press conference yesterday. His deputy chairman Yeoh Eng Beng said: ”We have 400 units here and many unit owners have cars nowadays. There are only about 50 car parking bays in our compound.”

Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Lee Hack Teik said he would appeal to the authorities to convert the land adjacent to the flat into a car park for the residents' convenience.
A spokesman for the developer said they would level the proposed site for the residents to park their cars temporarily.

Yeoh: There are only about 50 car parking bays in the compound.The 1.6km Phase Two connects Jalan Sungai Pinang to Weld Quay.

The stretch from Sungai Pinang to Gat Lebuh Noordin was opened in June 2006 but the remaining 100m stretch to Weld Quay was delayed due to land acquisition problems.
The stretch is expected to be completed by the end of this month.
